2010 has started positively with the class settling well into our routines. We had a terrific meet each other night and I am loking forward to an exciting term. The big event coming is, of course, camp. Mr Frith, Mrs Williams and myself are working away at getting the prep done for camp, so watch out for upcoming notices - especially the booklet with equipment lists.
Homework has started. We have begun our Reading Logs in the communication notebook and I am encouraging the students to read for twenty minutes a night. Look out for maths homework coming home next week.
I am sure the students have been talking about the senior teams housepoint system - if not ask them what house they are in. I am leading Kiwi house, Go Kiwi!

A little about the teacher.
My name is Tom Leamy and I have been teaching for 10 years. I have a young family and enjoy spending time with them.
My key interests in teaching are Music and ICT, where I have been a lead teacher in both these areas at previous schools.
This blog will be an opportunity for the kids, parents and teacher to have space to share work, and get positive feedback from the Room's online community - which can include parents, teachers, Grandparents and other family. My intention is to create a positive and affirming environment for the children and I will filter all comments made on the blog before publishing.
Thanks for your support,
